• Bulk Water Supply Scheme for Ilembe District Municipality:
This project involves the project management and design of all engineering functions and responsibilities, together with associated sub-consultants, inclusive of geotechnical, land survey, legal, environmental and the like. Black Balance is responsible for the review and project execution of detailed designs, documentation and drawings for all bulk earthworks, bulk water mains, pump stations, rising mains and access roads, together with re-inforced concrete structural works for pump stations, retaining walls, storm-water culverts and foundations for 13 off-takes, each valued at approximately R100 million per phase.

• Mpungose Bulk Water Phase 1D:
Supply pipeline comprising some 8,8km of uPVC gravity water pipeline, located/positioned, predominantly, along the left edge of a provincial road and reticulated from and connecting Reservoir K4 (500kl) to Reservoir K5 (400kl).

• Naidooville Sewer Reticulation:
12km water-borne sewer pipe. 13km of 100/150mm diameter uPVC sewer pipelines (in Joint Venture with Campbell Bernstein & Irving).

• Umlaas Trunk Sewer Extension to Webedacht West:
2,4km pipeline of 750mm RC pipes and 900mm diameter structured wall HDPe pipes, including two bridges across the Umlaas River and three bridges across streams.

Design, development of tender documentation and management of contracting for two major culverts in the city.
